Guardsman Insurance Services traces its history back to the late 1950s when Keith Watson started his own insurance brokerage. In May of 1971 Guardsman Insurance Services Inc. was incorporated with Kingston, Ontario as its head office. Over the years Guardsman Insurance has expanded, opening offices in Ottawa and Bancroft. With the growth of internet-based business we now serve clients across the province of Ontario. Guardsman remains a family owned business with Keith’s grandson, Thomas, purchasing the company in 2013. This ownership transition has ensured our stability for decades to come.

Insurance is a complicated product. As such the staff at Guardsman Insurance has adopted a simple philosophy for our clients. We strive to serve our clients in plain language; providing individualized solutions and personal communication. Our clients are extensions of our family and you are never ‘just a number’ to us. Guardsman Insurance truly cares about our clients and values our long-term relationships.

Price is only one consideration. We work with you to design an insurance program that meets your unique needs. Our dedicated brokers will work to match you to the appropriate coverage at a highly competitive price.
Flexible Plans
We are able to arrange monthly payments for all of our clients. 95% of our companies offer payment plans and we work with outside finance companies to assist with the 5% who do not.
